This 1958 French crime-thriller directed by Louis Malle and starring Jeanne Moreau is notable as a precursor of New Wave cinema  but even more so for its groundbreaking soundtrack by Miles Davis, recorded in legendary Davis style by jazz stars Barney Wilen (saxophone), René Urtreger (piano), Pierre Michelot (bass) and Kenny Clarke (drums).

Award winning saxophonist François Corneloup is in the front rank of European jazz, permanently associated with other Gallic greats including Henri Texier, Louis Sclavis and Marc Ducret and, in this special visit to the UK, with his long-term collaborator Tony Hymas, known especially for his work with PhD, Jack Bruce and Jeff Beck.
